The Promises of Recovery

The 12 Gifts of Life Recovery

2 Timothy 1:7
Gift 3
The Gift of Character

When we sincerely ask for God's help, our character is transformed through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Gift 4
The Gift of Clarity

Aligning our actions with our beliefs and values brings clarity of mind and spirit.

The Gift of Abundance

A life of purpose, new and fulfilling opportunities we may never have thought possible.

Philippians 4:19
Gift 7
The Gift of Wisdom

If any lack wisdom, let them ask of God, who giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not.

James 1:5
Gift 8
The Gift of Self-Control

One of the many fruits of the Holy Spirit is the gift of self-control which transforms everything in our lives.

Gift 9
The Gift of Freedom

For freedom Christ has set us free; stand fast and do not submit again to bondage.

Another fruit of the Holy Spirit is Joy, a deep-rooted happiness that cannot be purchased.

By acknowledging the things we cannot change, we find acceptance and true serenity.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27

What to Expect

Meeting Guidelines

We begin every meeting reminding everyone to:

1

Respect the confidentiality & anonymity of each person here: Who you see here, What is said here — when you leave here, let it stay here.

2

Everyone is invited to share but no one is obligated to do so. Our shares focus on our own thoughts, feelings, and experiences with our faith, strength, struggle, and hope.

3

Limit sharing to 3–5 minutes. Refrain from asking questions and cross talk. Do not talk while others are sharing.

4

Do not try to fix, advise, counsel, soothe, or solve other people's problems. We are here to support one another in our mutual journey toward wellness and recovery.

We Connect with God and One Another

As we build a support network of friends who celebrate life by sharing our experience, faith, strength, struggle, and hope — offering life skills and mutual support for every step of the journey.
